BK LABO PRESS, bench press for Wet Powder products “Baked” type.
BK Labo Press is a bench press designed for laboratory use or small-scale production, suitable for Wet Powder products, specifically Baked.
It comes complete with a manual friction unwinder and a pneumatic bottom extractor.
What are Wet Powder Baked products?
Wet Powder Baked products are pasty cosmetic powders that can be dosed.
This is possible thanks to a volatile substance mixed with the cosmetic powder to make it fluid.
This type of product is first dosed onto a terracotta pan, for example through a dedicated machine such as our ROTOPACK BK 1000 3-C. These pans, once filled with the dosed product, are pressed to give them their characteristic domed shape.
Thanks to the pressing process — for example using the BK Labo Press — a large part of the liquid component is extracted, absorbed by the compacting cloth.
Finally, the product is baked (hence the name) inside an industrial oven, completing the drying phase of the Wet Powder. In this way, the volatile substance evaporates, making the product ready for use in make-up.
Features of the BK LABO PRESS
Operates with compressed air.
The compacting pressure can be adjusted through a regulator from 0 to 7 bar, allowing the product to be compacted or dried more or less firmly. This makes it possible to quickly extract the volatile liquid component from the Wet Powder product.
