FBI L2, semi-automatic machine for injecting and pressing wet powder in Front Back Injection mode
FBI L2 is Co.Pack’s semi-automatic machine for wet powder, in Front Back Injection mode, for injecting and pressing wet powder into the pans. The FBI L2 is particularly suitable for the production of mascara, lip gloss, eyeliner, foundation, and similar products.
The machine is designed to simultaneously fill 6 to 12 different colors (depending on the configuration) using the filling units.
F (front) B (back) I (injection) indicates that two different types of production are possible:
- FRONT, the product is injected into an intermediate plate and then deposited in the pans of reception of the same;
- BACK, the product is injected directly into the collection base, through small holes created in the plastic pan itself.
Features of the FBI L2 machine
The machine must be completed with 1 or 2 injection trolleys. This trolley is an external device to the machine, so that it can be moved as needed within the department. They are composed of:
- 6 configurable electronic injectors
- 6 2.5 or 5-liter hoppers with electronic stirring system
This system allows the simultaneous use of up to two trolleys, allowing the simultaneous injection of 12 colors at a time. Thanks to its great versatility, thanks to the various electronic components, the trolley can be programmed according to the customer’s needs and the product formula.
The FBI L2 machine is fully configurable via the touchscreen operator panel.
What are Wet Powder products?
The term Wet Powder identify a category of innovative products for the production of eyeshadows and highlighters.
Wet Powder refers to all cosmetic powders that can be dosed or injected using a volatile binding agent, such as isododecane, which It subsequently disappears following a “baking” process of the finished product.
The Wet Powder category includes Front Injection and Back Injection.
Now let’s analyze the processes.
First of all, this type of Wet Powder product is first dosed onto a pan, or injected into dedicated plastic pans.
These pans with the dosed product are then pressed, defining a precise shape, to fill the pans homogeneously.
Thanks to pressing, most of the liquid part of the product is extracted, and the wet powder is then dried in an industrial oven.
Then, once the volatile binder disappears, the product becomes usable for makeup.
Co.Pack allows you to produce this type of product with machines that use Front Back Injection technology, offering a complete range of machines for a wide variety of needs, such as the ROTOPACK FBI 2000 2P for large production runs, or the PACK FBI for pressing a large number of wet powder products.
ATTENTION:
To use the FBI L2 machine, it is necessary to purchase at least 1 CO.PACK injection trolley, as the injectors are mounted on this device external to the central unit of the machine, without at least 1 CO.PACK injection trolley connected. FBI L2, the main machine would be unusable, while the use of 2 CO.PACK injection trolleys is not mandatory, but necessary if you intend to inject 12 colors simultaneously.
The FBI L2 machine can therefore be ordered with the addition of 1 CO.PACK injection trolley.
If you have already purchased 1 or more CO.PACK injection trolleys, they are available at your company, it is possible to purchase the FBI L2 individually, and when you intend to use it, simply connect the machine to the Carts.
It is possible to exchange the Cart between multiple machines, but a single CO.PACK injection Cart cannot work simultaneously on two or more machines. Therefore, if you have two FBI L2 systems, you must purchase at least two Carts, one for each main machine, the minimum required to start production.
