ROTOPACK BK 1000 3C, dosing and pressing system for wet powder “Baked” products

ROTOPACK BK 1000 3C is a machine suitable for dosing one or more COLORS of pasty wet powder “baked” products on flat terracotta pans, and then pressing them to obtain a domed shape.

What are Wet Powder products?

Wet Powder “Baked” products are pasty cosmetic powders that can be dosed. This is possible thanks to a volatile substance mixed with the cosmetic powder to make it flow.

This type of product is first dosed onto a terracotta base (for example with a dedicated machine such as our ROTOPACK BK 1000 3C). These bases with the dosed product are then pressed, giving them their characteristic domed shape.

Thanks to pressing—performed, for example, with the BK Labo Press—much of the liquid component is extracted as it is absorbed by the compaction cloth.

Finally, the product is baked (hence the name) in an industrial oven, completing the drying phase of the Wet Powder. In this way the volatile substance evaporates, making the product ready for makeup use.
