Filling of liquids and more or less viscous products with pneumatic volumetric dosing, HMI control and cap tightening station.

Overview

ROTOFILL P-ECO is a semi-automatic rotary filling machine, with electro-pneumatic operation, designed to handle a wide range of products: from water to oils, creams and gels.

The project comes from the combination of proven solutions developed over time: a robust mechanical base derived from models historically used in production and an integrated dosing unit PACK ECO. The result is a compact and practical filler, designed for those who want productivity and simple operation without unnecessary automation.

To improve cycle control and repeatability, the machine includes an electrical cabinet with a touchscreen HMI panel: the operator precisely manages pneumatic solenoid valves, station movements and process settings.

Operating note: actual output depends on volume and viscosity, cap tightening time, and how quickly the operator places the cap (manual cap placing).

Dosing unit designed to cover multiple ranges, suitable for products with different viscosities, with a simple and robust adjustment logic.

Technical details

Rotary table + integrated conveyors

The machine integrates a variable-speed conveyor (inverter) that feeds empty packaging to the rotary table and conveys the finished product to the outfeed.

Manual cap placing (and automatic alternative)

After filling, the rotary table brings the packaging to the cap placing station: on ROTOFILL P-ECO the operation is manual.
If you want to automate this phase as well, the reference solution is ROTOFILL PRST, with a dedicated pick & place.

Cap tightening with pneumatic vane motor

The capper uses a pneumatic vane motor: a suitable choice when looking for compactness, light weight and durability and, where required, when the application must remain compatible with ATEX certification logic.
Torque is conveniently adjusted via a pressure regulator.

Optional: heated hopper

For more viscous products, the optional heated hopper with PID temperature controller is available, designed to stabilize viscosity and simplify the filling process.

  • Bottles / containers with a stable base
  • Jars

Not recommended for very slim and tall containers with an unstable base (e.g. mascara/lip gloss formats).

Technical FAQ

1) Which products can ROTOFILL P-ECO handle?

Liquids and more or less viscous products: water, oils, creams and gels (final evaluation always depends on viscosity and product behavior).

2) Is the machine fully automatic?

No: it is semi-automatic. Cap placing is manual; cap tightening is integrated.

3) How is tightening torque adjusted?

In a simple way: by adjusting air pressure via a dedicated regulator.

4) Can I automate cap placing as well?

Yes: if you need automation also for cap placing, the solution is the ROTOFILL PRST model with pick & place.

5) Is the 1400 pcs/hour output always guaranteed?

It is a maximum value: actual output depends on volume and viscosity, cap tightening time, and the operator’s pace in placing the cap.

6) Do I need the heated hopper option?

It is recommended when viscosity makes filling unstable/slow: PID heating helps stabilize the process.
